BASF apresenta acaricida Nealta na Argentina

BASF has introduced miticide Nealta® (cyflumetofen) for apple trees in Argentina for the control of mites in all life stages: eggs, larvae, nymphs and adults.

Mites are a subclass of arachnids considered an agricultural pest. Due to their small size, they can go unnoticed and cause very intense damage in agriculture if corrective measures are not taken in time. Its highest incidence occurs in the dry season, unlike the rainy season, when attacks are minor.

Nealta®, a contact miticide for the apple crop, could specifically control spider mites and has a knockdown power and residual effect. It can be used in any Integrated Pest Management System (IPM) and in Resistance Management Programs.

“Nealta® offers a new mode of action and rapid control of the pest; in four hours, the pest stops feeding, and in twelve hours, paralysis is achieved, controlling all resistant populations to other miticides. In addition, it has an excellent eco-toxicological profile and can be used close to the harvest,” said Ing. Agr. Leandro Sebastián Gómez, Manager of Fruit and Vegetable Crops of BASF.

With Nealta®, BASF expands its complete line of insecticides, which being invested a high percentage of resources allocated to research and development in the search for new solutions for producers, with the aim of maintaining healthy crops, improving their quality and offering a high performance.
